Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions? We've got answers. Here’s everything you might want to know before booking a paint party or workshop with Little Art Class.
Do I need any painting experience?
Not at all! Our events are all about having fun, not painting perfect masterpieces. Whether you’re a total beginner or a confident creative, everyone leaves with something they’re proud of.
What do you supply?
We bring all the art materials you’ll need for the session—paints, brushes, canvases, easels, aprons, table covers and all the little extras. All we ask is that the event organiser provides enough tables and chairs for guests to work comfortably, as well as access to a power point and running water for setting up and cleaning brushes.
What if we don’t have tables and chairs?
No worries at all! If your space isn’t set up for a painting party, we recommend considering a local venue like a café, winery, or community hall. We often partner with businesses around the Great Southern and can suggest a space that suits your group and vibe.
Do you provide food or alcohol?
No—we’re a pop-up art service, so we don’t provide food or drinks. You’re more than welcome to BYO! For public workshops that include catering or drinks, we partner with licensed venues that are responsible for safe food handling and alcohol service.
Where do you run your events?
We’re fully mobile! We bring the painting party to you—whether it’s your home, a hired venue, a community hall, or a local café we’ve partnered with. We’re based in the Great Southern and love working across the region.
How long does a painting party go for?
Most parties and workshops run for 2 to 3 hours depending on the group size and event type. We’ll chat with you when booking to make sure the timing suits your plans.
Can you help us find a venue?
Yes! We have great relationships with local venues and can help suggest a space if you don’t have one in mind. Just ask when you enquire. Two of our favourite venues to pop-up in are Handasydes Strawberry Farm and West Cape Howe Winery.
Do you offer outdoor events?
We can—just keep in mind weather risks, wind, and shade. We’ll help plan something that works well for the setting.
Do you clean up afterwards?
Yes, we’ll tidy up our materials and take everything we brought with us. If you’ve provided your own food or drinks, we just ask that you handle any clean-up related to that side of things.
What kind of things do we paint?
That depends on your event! For kids and private parties, we can customise the subject matter or guide you with a fun step-by-step artwork. For adults, you can choose between a guided class or a more relaxed, freestyle painting session. To view some of the artworks you can choose to paint at your event, visit our artwork gallery.
What ages are your parties for?
We run events for kids aged 5+, tweens and teens, adults and mixed-age groups. Each package is designed to suit the age and vibe of the guests—we’ll help you pick the right fit.
Where do you travel to?
We’re based in the Great Southern and happily travel to Albany, Mount Barker, Kendenup and Denmark at no extra cost. If your event is outside these areas, a small travel fee may apply—but we’ll always let you know upfront when you enquire.
Still have questions?
We’d love to hear from you! Just get in touch and we’ll help you plan the perfect creative event.
